Derivative Trader

As a seasoned trader with 3+ years of experience, you will be responsible for implementing low-risk, absolute return strategies such as skew, dispersion, long-short, relative volatility, or arbitrage across equity or commodity options. Your track record of PnL, whether discretionary or systematic, should be verifiable. It will be your duty to actively monitor and manage portfolio risk in real-time, ensuring a deep understanding of the factors influencing PnL within a diversified options book. Utilizing real-time market data, you will identify high-conviction trading opportunities. Additionally, you will play a role in enhancing trading infrastructure by improving desk setup, tools, and workflows. Your coding skills will be put to use as you design, code, and backtest new strategy ideas to generate alpha and enhance existing models. Moreover, you will leverage quantitative methods to explore and assess new trading strategies or enhance existing ones. Your qualifications should include 3-6 years of experience at a trading firm, focusing primarily on volatility-based or relative value strategies. You must possess a minimum of 1 year of verifiable PnL track record that demonstrates consistent performance. A deep understanding of options trading and risk management is essential, along with the ability to independently take and manage positions.
