Role Overview:

Deputy Manager Taxation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct Taxation

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of income tax returns for the company and its units.
  
• Manage computation of corporate tax liability, advance tax, and deferred taxes.
  
• Handle assessments, appeals, and correspondence with tax authorities.
  
• Ensure compliance with TDS/TCS requirements and filings (Form 26AS, 27Q, etc.)
  

2. Indirect Taxation (GST & Legacy Laws)

• Oversee GST return preparation and filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C).
  
• Manage GST reconciliation (books vs. portal vs. GSTR-2B).
  
• Address GST audits, departmental queries, and litigation.
  
• Evaluate GST implications for transactions, new products, and plant operations.
  

3. Transfer Pricing

• Ensure accurate inter-company pricing documentation and compliance with TP regulations.
  
• Support preparation and filing of Form 3CEB.
  
• Coordinate with external consultants for TP study reports and benchmarking.
  

4. Tax Planning & Advisory

• Identify tax-saving opportunities within the bounds of applicable laws.
  
• Advise business and plant heads on tax-related implications of transactions.
  
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on business operations.
  

5. Audits & Assessments

• Liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of information during audits and scrutiny.
  
• Manage notices, inquiries, and litigations at both central and state levels.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  
• Strong working knowledge of

  Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing

  , and related laws.
• Experience in

  manufacturing sector

  , preferably chemicals or process industries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to manage multi-location operations and handle pressure during audits and deadlines.
