Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The role holder supports the Project Controls Lead in managing project schedules, day-to-day contract management, resource allocation and project tracking for assigned Roads, Railways & Metros. The role focuses in ensuring accurate budget monitoring and reporting. The Project Controls Associate plays a key part in tracking project performance, and ensuring projects remain aligned with the set schedules and budgets.

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Create project schedules, from pre-construction planning through to project completion for project clusters in close collaboration with Lead Developed and maintained comprehensive project schedules from pre-construction to completion for a cluster of projects in close coordination with the Lead Project Control.
  • Define baseline schedules, track progress, and provide regular updates to Lead on cluster of projects.
  • Support Lead in collaboration with Project Heads and Operations Head to forecast and allocate resources effectively and ensure tracking of manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure optimal resource utilization across multiple projects.
  • Provide support in identification of schedule deviations, perform impact analyses, and take necessary actions to mitigate potential delays.

Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Ensure identification of variances, and suggest corrective actions ensuring project stays within approved budgets and generates expected returns.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to develop detailed project budgets, perform variance analysis, and adjust forecasts as needed based on project performance.

Risk Mitigation

  • Provide support in ensuring implementation of comprehensive risk management framework to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks at all project stages.
  • Regularly monitor risk factors and suggest measures to adjust risk management strategies as necessary

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Prepare real-time dashboards to track project health, including cost, time and quality metrics.
  • Track all change requests and their impact on budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Support the Lead in the discussions with Project Heads to assess the feasibility of project changes.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with 8 - 10 years of experience.

PGM PEM / ACM from NICMAR

Must have experience in Highways / Metros / Railways Projects
