Job Summary:

Durability Testing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the complete

  vehicle durability validation roadmap

  for all platforms (ICE, hybrid, and EVs).
• Develop and define

  durability test strategies

  , load cases, and validation cycles based on usage profiles, customer conditions, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise

  instrumentation, test setup, and data acquisition

  for full vehicles and subsystems (e.g., chassis, suspension, body-in-white, mounts).
• Lead and manage teams conducting

  accelerated durability tests

  on proving grounds (e.g., rough road, pothole, cobblestone, twist road, ramp events).
• Ensure correlation between

  test track, lab, and field data

  to improve predictive models and simulation accuracy.
• Collaborate with CAE teams to validate and refine

  fatigue and structural simulation models

  .
• Work closely with vehicle dynamics, body, chassis, powertrain, and thermal teams to understand and mitigate design vulnerabilities.
• Manage durability instrumentation planning – including strain gauges, displacement sensors, accelerometers, and load cells.
• Interface with suppliers, external labs, and certification agencies to ensure test quality and compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and validation of corrective actions for observed failures during durability tests.
• Develop and maintain

  test procedures, standards, and documentation

  in alignment with global best practices.

Key Competency:

• Strong understanding of

  vehicle dynamics, load paths, fatigue mechanics, and road load data acquisition

  .
• Experience with

  accelerated test methods

  , proving ground cycles, and usage simulation.
• Hands-on knowledge of

  data acquisition systems

  (e.g., LMS, Dewesoft, HBM, MTS, NI DAQ) and

  strain/stress analysis

  .
• Experience in correlating

  test and CAE results

  , and working with CAE tools (nCode, Abaqus, HyperWorks).
• Familiarity with

  reliability engineering tools

  (Weibull analysis, FMEA, etc.) is a plus.
