Job Summary

The Deputy Manager – Consumer Durable Finance is responsible for driving consumer durable loan business through retail partner outlets. The role focuses on sales growth, merchant relationship management, customer acquisition, credit discipline, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive consumer durable loan disbursements across assigned retail outlets
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales, revenue, and productivity targets
  • Increase market share through effective merchant engagement and promotions

Merchant & Channel Management

  • Manage and grow relationships with retail partners (dealers, stores, chains)
  • Onboard new merchants as per business expansion plans
  • Ensure correct product display, scheme communication, and branding at stores

Customer Acquisition & Experience

  • Ensure seamless customer onboarding and loan processing at point of sale
  • Support sales executives in resolving customer queries and escalations
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and repeat business

Credit, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to credit policies, documentation standards, and KYC norms
  • Monitor fraud indicators, rejection trends, and early delinquency
  • Coordinate with risk and operations teams to maintain portfolio quality

Team Management

  • Supervise and guide sales executives / relationship officers
  • Conduct regular training on product features, processes, and compliance
  • Track individual performance and provide on-ground coaching

Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare daily/weekly MIS on sales, conversions, rejections, and productivity
  • Analyze outlet-level and executive-level performance
  • Share actionable insights with senior management

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of consumer durable finance / POS lending
  • Sales orientation with ability to manage targets and pressure
  • Merchant negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of credit basics, KYC, and fraud controls
  • Good communication, analytical, and people management skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline
  • MBA / PGDM preferred

Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in consumer durable finance, retail lending, or NBFC sales
  • Prior experience in POS lending or merchant-based financing preferred

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Consumer durable loan disbursement volume
  • Active merchant base and outlet productivity
  • Conversion ratio and approval rates
  • Portfolio quality (bounce, delinquency, fraud cases)
  • Team productivity and attrition
