Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & UAV Design DirectionDefine and implement a UAV design strategy aligned with company mission in aerospace and defense.Translate business and operational requirementssuch as surveillance, strike, or reconnaissanceinto user-focused UAV design solutions.UAV capabilities span airframe, autopilot, payload integration, and GCS design, with combat-proven platforms like ALS-50, ALS-250, ALS-50MkII, and IVTOL Team Leadership & Cross-functional CoordinationLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team covering electronics, mechanical, controls, software, and industrial design.Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, business, and client teams to execute UAV design projects successfully.Technical Execution & UAV Systems IntegrationOversee schematic and PCB design using tools like ORCAD/Altium; handle component selection and codification for UAV electronics.Ensure seamless system integrationincorporating communication protocols (UART, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI), sensors, autopilot systems, and payload interfaces.Embed aerospace and defense complianceincluding ruggedization, EMI/EMC, flight safety into all design stages.Prototype, Test & IterateLead rapid prototyping and iterative UAV testing for both ground and flight validation, refining designs based on performance feedback.Manage documentation lifecycle: configuration control, versioning, traceability, and change management.Innovation & Brand StewardshipDrive innovation in UAV designfocusing on autonomy, sensor integration, mission adaptability, energy efficiency, and minimal user burden.Ensure all UAV design outputs reflect company brand identity and uphold quality excellence.
