Deputy General Manager Production

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy General Manager (DGM) Design to lead and manage the design and development of valves and related components. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mechanical or metallurgical engineering with hands-on experience in various types of industrial valves. This role involves driving product design, tooling strategies, process improvements, and quality documentation in alignment with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of

  valves

  such as gate valves, butterfly valves, swing check valves, and air valves.
• Develop and approve

  valve prototypes/samples

  in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee

  tool design

  and implement optimized

  tool manufacturing methods

  .
• Maintain and control

  technical drawings

  , ensuring alignment with project and customer requirements.
• Drive compliance and maintenance of

  ISO documentation

  , standards, and audits.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, and sales teams when needed.
  
• Coordinate with vendors and customers for design validations and approvals.
  
• Mentor and guide junior design engineers to improve team capability.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering.

• Experience:

  10 to 15 years of relevant industry experience, with significant exposure to valve design and development.

• Preferred Expertise:

  Proven hands-on experience in gate valves, butterfly valves, swing check valves, and air valves.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of

  valve design standards

  and

  manufacturing processes

• Proficiency in

  CAD software

  (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo)
• Knowledge of

  tooling techniques
