Deputy General Manager, Design & Architecture

Key Responsibilities: - **Leadership:** - Act as the client's primary representative during the design phase, collaborating with internal and external teams. - Conduct technical workshops and guide consultants in reviewing and approving shop drawings while maintaining design intent. - **Financial:** - Manage design change control effectively to minimize schedule disruptions and cost impacts. - **Functional:** - **Academics:** - Incorporate educational operational requirements into the design through collaboration. - **Operations:** - Coordinate with local and international consultants during design development. - Ensure smooth coordination between design teams, consultants, and stakeholders. - Conduct site and factory inspections to uphold design and quality standards. - Resolve unforeseen coordination and interface issues across all design phases. - **Projects:** - Collaborate with design, commercial, and project management teams to implement client-driven changes. - Oversee mock-up reviews to ensure design quality and alignment. - Drive design development through all stages: Concept, Schematic, Design Development, and Documentation. - **People Focus:** - Assist site teams in promptly resolving design-related issues and clashes. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. - Professional accreditation in Architecture preferred.
