 Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural 
 Job Purpose 
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.  Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Achieve collections targets by visiting customers/agencies.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and proper guidelines.
  • Review and track milestones.
  • Ensure legal guidelines are complied with during product repossession.
  • Travel with Relationship Officers (ROs) as required.
  • Timely allocation of cases to team members.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
  • Track daily performance of team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Manage Daily Risk Reports (DRR).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance their skill sets.
  • Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.
  • Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.
  • Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve performance.
  • Oversee legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance), including repossession and legal management.
  • Handle litigation and case management.
  • Ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee reporting and documentation.

  •  Required Qualifications and Experience 
  • Experience in achieving collections targets through direct customer or agency visits.
  • Ability to monitor and report performance against defined parameters.
  • Experience in milestone reviewing and tracking.
  • Understanding of legal guidelines for repossession of products.
  • Willingness to travel with Relationship Officers (ROs).
  • Experience in timely allocation and management of cases among team members.
  • Proficiency in Excel for daily tracking and performance analysis.
  • Strong record-keeping skills for customer interactions and transactions.
  • Ability to handle escalations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Experience in managing Daily Risk Reports (DRR).
  • Skill in developing and implementing strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members.
  • Team management experience targeting overall collection objectives.
  • Problem-solving skills during the collection process.
  • Experience with managing and improving collection performance reports.
  • Legal recovery and vehicle finance (NPL Wheels) experience, including repossession and legal management.
  • Litigation and case management skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk mitigation processes.
  • Reporting and documentation experience.
