Job Description

Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural
Job Purpose
The Debt Management Specialist is responsible for managing delinquent accounts, recovering overdue payments, and maintaining strong financial relationships with clients. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and proper guidelines.

Review and track milestones.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with during product repossession.

Travel with Recovery Officers (ROs) as required.

Timely allocation of cases to team members.

Proficient in Excel for daily performance tracking of team members.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Manage Daily Risk Report (DRR).

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.

Legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) repo and legal management.

Litigation and case management.

Compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Experience in achieving collections targets through customer/agency visits.

Ability to monitor performance and provide regular updates and guidance.

Skill in milestone reviewing and tracking.

Knowledge of legal guidelines for repossession of products.

Willingness to travel with Recovery Officers.

Experience in timely allocation of team cases.

Proficiency in Excel for daily team performance tracking.

Ability to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Strong escalation handling and problem resolution skills.

Experience in managing Daily Risk Reports.

Ability to develop strategies to improve collection rates.
