Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with application teams to write efficient queries and optimize poorly performing ones.
Work closely with reporting and analytics teams to design appropriate indexes and write optimal queries.
Develop packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and implement database events for specific use cases.
Build and maintain systems for data migration.
Identify blocked transactions and deadlocks, and coordinate with the engineering team to resolve them.
Provide guidance and support to application developers.
Assist with schema design, code reviews, and SQL query tuning.
Write and deploy SQL patches.
Upgrade and enhance application schemas and data during upgrades.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of work.
Maintain attention to detail at all times.
Proactively make recommendations for system improvements.
Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external stakeholders.
