As a Day Care Manager, your role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the day care facility to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care. Your responsibilities include: - **Program Management**: - Plan, implement, and supervise age-appropriate activities such as academic support, recreational, and creative pursuits. - Ensure structured schedules and engaging routines are in place during day care hours. - **Child Safety & Welfare**: - Maintain a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly environment at all times. - Implement supervision and discipline practices that are sensitive to children's needs and in line with school policies. - Keep daily attendance and health records up to date. - **Staff Supervision**: - Lead and manage day care assistants and caregivers effectively. - Conduct regular training sessions and assign responsibilities to staff members. - **Parent Communication**: - Act as the main point of contact for parents regarding day care-related inquiries. - Provide regular updates on child activities, behavior, and well-being. - Handle feedback, grievances, and special care requests with sensitivity. - **Resource & Facility Management**: - Ensure availability and maintenance of toys, books, play equipment, and snacks for the children. - Manage day care inventory, cleanliness, and timely procurement of necessary supplies. - **Coordination with School Team**: - Collaborate with teachers to provide academic support when required. - Coordinate with the school nurse in case of minor injuries or illness. **Qualifications and Skills**: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related fields. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in child care, early education, or day care management. - Basic First Aid and child safety training would be advantageous. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Compassionate, organized, and energetic personality. - Fluency in English and a local language is considered an advantage.
