Job Description

As part of your role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of GLS-managed Engineering labs, which includes tasks such as equipment moves, cabling, and other lab logistics activities. Your work may span across multiple buildings, emphasizing the need for a team-focused approach. Key responsibilities include: - Performing hardware moves (Rack and Stack) - Setting up testbed cabling based on topology diagrams - Maintaining organized and labelled cable runs to adhere to best practices and audit requirements - Decommissioning racks by disconnecting SmartPDUs, power cables, removing equipment, and neatly storing away cables for repurposing - Packaging and/or palletizing equipment for shipping - Ensuring general housekeeping practices by removing cardboard boxes, packaging materials, and palletizing unwanted equipment for disposal - Supporting asset management and tracking processes - Coordinating with team members to manage shipping and other logistics-related tasks - Adhering to ISO standards Qualifications required for this role: - Ability to lift heavy equipment without restrictions - Capable of standing for extended periods of time - Proficient in operating a pallet jack/electrical lift safely - Familiarity with using a case management tool for request management - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent customer service skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to drive projects to completion Please note that no additional details about the company were provided in the job description.,
