Job Description

The main responsibility of this role is to provide day-to-day support for GLS-managed Engineering labs, involving tasks such as equipment moves, cabling, and other lab logistics activities. You may need to work across multiple buildings as required. A team-focused approach is crucial for success in this position. Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Performing hardware moves including Rack and Stack operations - Setting up testbed cabling based on topology diagrams - Ensuring organized and labeled cable runs to meet best practices and audit requirements - Decommissioning racks by disconnecting SmartPDUs, power cables, removing equipment, and storing cables neatly for repurposing - Packaging and palletizing equipment for shipping - Maintaining general housekeeping practices by removing cardboard boxes, packaging materials, palletizing unwanted equipment for disposal - Supporting asset management and tracking processes - Coordinating with team members to manage shipping and logistics-related tasks efficiently - Adhering to ISO standards Qualifications for this role include: - Ability to lift heavy equipment without restrictions - Capable of standing for extended periods - Familiarity with operating a pallet jack or electrical lift safely - Proficiency in using a case management tool to manage requests - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent customer service skills - Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others to drive projects to completion.,
