Database Tester

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans and test cases for database validation
• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify database performance issues
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Analyse and interpret test results to provide actionable insights
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across various database platforms
• Review and validate database scripts, stored procedures, and triggers

Preferred candidate profile

Strong analytical skills with the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and defect investigation

Familiarity with Amperity - understanding of Amperity Data.

Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques

Experience working with cloud-based databases and related technologies

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Proficiency in conducting database tests and analysing test outcomes

Solid understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS)

Experience using database testing frameworks and tools

Ability to work effectively in Agile or Scrum environments

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Zephyr

4+ years of relevant experience
