Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Engineer to lead and execute the migration of databases from Oracle to PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in database administration, migration strategies, and performance optimization, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

: Plan and execute the migration of databases from Oracle (11g/12c/19c) to PostgreSQL (12+), including schema, data, and logic conversion

: Convert and optimize PL/SQL code to PL/pgSQL, ensuring functional equivalency and performance improvements.

: Analyze and optimize database performance post-migration, addressing issues related to query performance, indexing, and data retrieval

Required Skills & Qualifications

: Minimum of 38 years in database migration and administration, with a focus on Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations

: Strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, and PL/pgSQL.

: Experience with tools like ora2pg, pgLoader, AWS DMS, and Flyway.

: Proficiency in PostgreSQL performance tuning, indexing, and replication
