Database Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Developer/Engineer with strong experience in DB scripting and working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database systems to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write efficient and reusable SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance analysis.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and implement data models.
• Manage and monitor backups, restores, and database recovery plans.
• Analyze complex data requirements and transform them into effective database structures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

1 - 3 years of experience in:

• o DB Scripting (PL/SQL, T-SQL, or equivalent).
• o Oracle database administration and development.
• o MySQL development and tuning.
• o MongoDB document-based data modeling and query design.
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with database tools and performance tuning techniques.

Nice to Have

• Experience in data migration and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, MongoDB Atlas).
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for DB deployment.
