Database Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining our team as a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer (Development side) for a banking sector project. Your role will involve developing, optimizing, and debugging complex T-SQL queries, maintaining and enhancing SQL Server-based systems, designing and managing ETL workflows using SSIS, optimizing database performance, managing SQL Server Agent jobs, backup/restore operations, and scheduled tasks, ensuring database security, integrity, stability, and system availability, as well as mentoring junior database staff if required. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, optimize, and debug complex T-SQL queries. - Maintain and enhance SQL Server-based systems. - Design and manage ETL workflows using SSIS. - Optimize database performance (from a development perspective). - Manage and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, backup/restore operations, and scheduled tasks. - Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability. - Mentor junior database staff if required and take ownership of database-related deliverables. Qualification Required: - 4-6 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Development. - Strong experience in SSIS and ETL pipeline development. - Expertise in query tuning and optimization. - Ability to write, debug, and enhance complex SQL scripts. - Strong understanding of data structures, joins, indexing, etc. - Passion for solving complex data problems.
