Job description

1. Database Design and Development:

Create and manage database schemas, tables, columns, and relationships.

Design and optimize database structures to ensure data integrity and performance in AWS EKS and knowledge of AWS Native Services

Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality.

Knowledge of implementing Physical Data Model, Table relation ships based on DB Design

2. Version Control and Source Management:

Implement version control for database schema and data.

Ensure that database changes are tracked, documented, and deployed in accordance with business requirements.

Collaborate with software development teams to synchronize database changes with application code changes.

3. Performance Tuning:

Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization and indexing.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and database-related issues.

4. Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls and encryption.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

5. Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, procedures, and configurations.

Document changes and updates to the database in version control.

6. Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data analysts, and system administrators.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to database-related discussions.

Experience

Experience in Design, configuration, operations of Relational Database like AWS RDS Postgre.

Preferably to have knowledge of Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment and AIAS standards.

Certification

AWS Certified Database Specialty
