About Position

Deevita is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise-level SQL Server environments (on-prem and Azure). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, maintenance, performance tuning, database security, automation, and disaster recovery. This role involves ensuring database availability, reliability, and scalability while supporting mission-critical business applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our clients in USA. 

Roles &

• Administer and maintain SQL Server databases (2016/2019/2022) in production and non-production usings hosted both on-prem and Azure cloud environments
• Perform query optimization, index tuning, and performance troubleshooting to ensure optimal database performance.
• Create, monitor and fine tune database maintenance plans ongoing basis
• Automate server/ database maintenance tasks through development of automation scripts using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting languages.
• Manage user roles, access controls, and database security policies.
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and maintenance operations.
• Monitor system health, performance metrics, and proactively resolve issues.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and deploy database solutions that support business needs.
• Experience in optimizing and fine-tuning SQL queries. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Proven expertise in query tuning, performance troubleshooting, and index optimization.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of database security, roles, and access management.
• Strong knowledge of backup and restore strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting SQL Server for JD Edwards (JDE) or other ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clusters, and Disaster Recovery solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
• Experience in Azure Environments managing multi-zone availability, DR managements
