Job Description

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining database servers, ensuring they are up to date with the latest patches and security updates. You will also be involved in monitoring database performance, optimizing SQL scripts, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Additionally, you will be responsible for data backup and restore procedures, as well as disaster recovery planning. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience working with SQL and database management tools such as MSSQL Server Management Studio and Oracle SQL Developer. Knowledge of database systems including MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle RDBMS is essential. Experience with data backup, recovery, and database clustering is also highly desirable. Familiarity with database disk storage solutions such as Oracle ASM and operating systems like Linux and Windows Server is a plus. In this role, you will be expected to adhere to database standards and best practices, ensuring data integrity and security at all times. Knowledge of additional database technologies such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and execution plan analysis using T-SQL will be beneficial. Experience with cloud databases like Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and AWS DynamoDB is a plus.
