Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator with 3+ years of experience, you will be responsible for Oracle Database Administration including Oracle 11g and 12c. Your role will involve managing Oracle RAC and Data Guard database administration, creating and maintaining databases for various usage, and handling database installations, upgrades, and patching. You will need to interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support, monitor database alerts regularly, and take necessary actions. Performance analysis and tuning for the database, managing complex Oracle Environments, and backup and recovery using RMAN will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring database integrity, re-organizing databases for performance, and providing feedback to the Development team for serviceability improvements will be crucial. Troubleshooting Oracle databases, operating system knowledge of Windows, Linux, and AIX, participating in team calls, and documenting work performed are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist the Application Team in monitoring performance, tuning queries, and database objects. You will be involved in database module design, performance tuning of database code (SQL & PLSQL), report design and tuning, code deployments, schema refreshes, and post-production support. Data modeling, maintaining standards and procedures, ensuring security, backup and recovery policies, and capacity planning for databases and servers will also fall under your purview. Your desired skill set should include proficiency in English with good communication skills for coordination with internal and external teams. You should be willing to work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required, including non-standard working-time models. This may involve some off-hours/weekend work at times to ensure smooth operations.,
