Data Tech Lead

As a highly experienced Data Tech Lead with over 10 years of expertise in data engineering, data architecture, and leadership, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of data engineers in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions. Your role will involve architecting and developing robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and workflows using Microsoft Fabric and other data engineering tools. You will oversee data modelling, data warehousing, and data integration strategies to support analytics and business intelligence. It will be essential for you to optimize SQL-based solutions for performance, scalability, and security. Additionally, you will define and enforce data governance, data quality, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions - Architect and develop robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and workflows using Microsoft Fabric and other data engineering tools - Oversee data modelling, data warehousing, and data integration strategies to support analytics and business intelligence - Optimize SQL-based solutions for performance, scalability, and security - Define and enforce data governance, data quality, and security best practices - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business goals - Lead cloud data migration and modernization initiatives, particularly in Azure environments - Stay updated with emerging data technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements for data platforms - Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and project timelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field - Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Good to Have) - 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform development - Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including One Lake, Dataflows, and Synapse - Strong proficiency in SQL, database optimization, and query performance tuning - Extensive experience with data pipeline design (ETL/ELT), data integration, and automation - Deep understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and big data frameworks - Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Databricks, etc.) - Proficiency in Python, Spark, or Power BI for data processing and analytics - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Experience with JIRA, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices for data engineering - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in cloud environments,
