Data Tech Lawyer

As a mid-level technology and data lawyer at WPP in Mumbai, you will be an integral part of the global WPP Media legal team, supporting WPP Media's proprietary technology businesses like Choreograph and Infosum. Your role will focus on providing legal support for data and technology functions, collaborating with data governance and privacy teams, and working closely with product, engineering, and strategy teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC. **Key Responsibilities:** - Offer day-to-day advice on technology products - Mitigate legal risks associated with various agreements - Structure and negotiate agreements effectively - Stay informed on industry developments and legal issues - Contribute to enhancing legal support strategies within the team - Support and mentor legal trainees **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience - Working knowledge of privacy laws - Ability to apply the law practically to complex business scenarios - Capacity to work efficiently under tight deadlines - Experience with innovative problem-solving and strategic thinking - Business acumen is essential - Experience in advertising, digital media, technology, or cross-border issues (advantageous) WPP fosters a collaborative work environment with a hybrid approach, having teams in the office around four days a week.
