Data Team Lead

As the Data Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of the enterprise data platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing vendor Data Engineering and Architecture teams, allocating tasks and planning resources effectively. - Acting as the primary owner of the Data Platform strategy and roadmap. - Overseeing Data Platform reporting activities such as system go-lives, KPI tracking, usage insights, and FinOps monitoring. - Serving as the subject matter expert for the Data Platform ecosystem, including Snowflake, AWS, Glue, etc. - Defining and evolving the long-term platform strategy in alignment with business and technology goals. - Collaborating closely with Delivery and Operations Leads to address and prioritize business requirements. - Owning the DRM process and establishing future Data Catalog and data-modelling standards to ensure robust data architecture practices. Qualifications for the ideal candidate include: - End-to-end experience in data warehousing and data lake solutions on cloud platforms, preferably AWS. - Strong data engineering (ETL) experience in cloud environments, with AWS certification (developer/DevOps/SA) being preferred. - Excellent understanding of distributed computing paradigms. - Proficiency in data warehouse and data lake implementation, relational databases, ETL design patterns, and development. - Experience with CICD frameworks, container-based deployments, programming languages (Java/Python/Scala), and SQL. - Exposure to No-SQL and Big Data technologies, as well as expertise in various technology areas such as Data integration/Engineering, Datawarehouse, Data modelling, Programming, Data visualization, Master data management (MDM), Big data, and Big Data processing frameworks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with a deep understanding of current and future data trends.
