Job Summary Versa Networks is currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join the Machine Learning team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in various data-driven projects, spanning from exploratory data analysis to the development and deployment of machine learning models for Networking, Security, and Language applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uncover insights, solve complex problems, and drive decision-making based on data. Responsibilities Data Analysis and Visualization: Conduct exploratory data analysis to comprehend data characteristics and identify patterns. Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights. Data Preparation and Engineering: Ingest, clean, preprocess, and transform data to prepare it for analysis and modeling. Address missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies. Appropriately label datasets for classification problems. Machine Learning: Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models, including traditional algorithms like CNNs, XGBoost, Transformers, Various Graph ML algorithms, Time Series modeling, and LLM, among others. Model Deployment: Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production, ensuring scalability and reliability. Familiarity with model quantization, evaluation, and deployment formats like ONNX and GGUF is necessary. Problem-Solving: Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle intricate data challenges. Collaboration: Work effectively with data engineers, analysts, and domain experts to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data insights. Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering. 4-5 years of experience in data science or a related field. Proficiency in the Python programming language. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) is advantageous. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the Go programming language. Preferable knowledge of acceleration frameworks like RAPIDS and Spark. Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. Experience with data version control and MLOps practices.
