Data Scientist

Role & responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to support business decisions - Selecting/engineering features, building and optimizing Statistical / ML models
• Support moving models to production, by creating quality code modules that can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems
• Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure
• Communicate insights and findings to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into business processes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Data Science and Analytics
• Work on diverse data analytics-related projects to address varied business requirements and challenges

Skills Required:

• Strong mathematical and coding aptitude.
• Hands on exposure to common data science toolkits including comfort in Python or R
• Good understanding of data querying using SQL
• Exposure to data visualization tools and techniques.
• Good applied statistical skills and fundamental understanding of classification / regression models
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data-related services.
• Ability to communicate advanced analytic outputs clearly, adapting according to the audience

Preferred candidate profile:

• Graduate degree in Data Science/ Computer Science /Mathematics/ Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate from a reputed institute.
• Post-Graduate degree in Data Science with minimum 60% aggregate preferred.
• Certifications in ML/AI/Big Data/Cloud Analytics will be an added advantage
