Description
As a Data Quality Expert at SUSE, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a scalable, company-wide data quality framework that ensures data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, data owners, and executive stakeholders to embed data quality best practices, governance, and monitoring into SUSE's data ecosystem. Your role will involve defining KPIs, establishing measurement standards, and working closely with various teams to ensure high-quality data management practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting hands-on data analysis, identifying data issues, and driving corrective actions to prevent recurring problems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and implement a scalable, company-wide data quality framework aligned with data governance and business priorities. - Establish KPIs and measurement standards to track data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. - Work with data owners, engineering teams, and business leaders to embed data quality processes. - Partner with IT and analytics teams to integrate data quality validation checks and remediation workflows. - Increase data quality literacy among stakeholders and ensure understanding of the business impact of poor data quality. - Conduct hands-on data analysis, profiling, and validation to assess and improve data quality. - Align data quality initiatives with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. - Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. - Evaluate and recommend data quality tools and technologies for automation and AI-driven solutions. - Deliver insights on data quality health through dashboards, reports, and executive briefings. **Desired Experience & Skills:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in business analysis in data-driven environments. - Proven experience in data quality management or governance roles. - Experience in BI solutions development using tools like Power BI. - Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and methodologies. - Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse environments. - Familiarity with data governance models and metadata management. - Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
