As a Data Modeler at OwlSure, business unit of ValueMomentum, you will be responsible for

designing, implementing and maintaining data models, ensuring a robust, scalable, and

analytics-ready data architecture in an agile environment. You will work closely with cross-

functional teams to create reusable, testable, and sustainable data models that align with

business needs. This role will directly impact the quality of data systems and analytics

solutions, helping organizations unlock the full potential of their data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models meeting business

requirements and strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to gather data

requirements and translate them into robust, scalable data models.

• Analyze and evaluate existing data models and databases to identify opportunities for

optimization, standardization, and improvement.

• Define and enforce data modelling standards, naming conventions, and data

governance policies to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation including data models, data dictionaries, and

metadata to support effective use and understanding of data assets.

• Implement best practices for data modelling, including normalization, denormalization,

indexing, partitioning, and optimization techniques.

• Work closely with Data engineers to support the implementation and ongoing

maintenance of data models within database systems.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data

modelling, database design, and data management.

Must-have Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in data modelling, database design, and data

architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in building both normalized and denormalized data models.
• Proficiency in data modelling tools such as erwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Experience with modern big data tools and platforms.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or Cassandra

including data modelling for semi-structured data

• Familiarity with data warehouse design, ETL processes, and data integration strategies.
• Understanding of Health Care Domain

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architecture principles
• Expertise in advanced data modelling techniques for large-scale and high-performance

data systems.

• Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, Databricks, or Fabric.
• Understanding of Long-Term Care/Senior Care Domain

Your Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business and

technical requirements.

• Define and enforce best practices for data modelling and database design.
• Provide technical guidance on database optimization and performance tuning.
• Draft technical guidelines, data dictionaries, STTMs and other documents to

standardize data modelling practices.
