Overview /Objective: About the Role In this role, you will play a critical part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers key business decisions across various domains., depending on assignment. You will work closely with BI developers, analysts, data engineers, business owners, and architects to translate business requirements into robust and scalable data solutions. You are an experienced data professional, who can work with minimal oversight, manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and take ownership of deliverables end-to-end. Critical to the success of this role is your ability to work with large volumes of data, bring simplicity to complex situations, work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, think strategically, and communicate findings in a clear and compelling way. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Data Modeling & Transformation: Develop and maintain data models and pipelines using dbt used for reporting and analytics. Support and champion the use of a unified semantic layer for metric delivery. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle. Implement data validation and testing procedures to identify and address data anomalies. Data Warehousing & BI Collaborate with data analysts and BI developers to design data models that support interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI at scale. Optimize data warehouse performance and scalability to support growing data volumes and user demands. Data Infrastructure & Tools Maintain and improve existing data pipelines and infrastructure. Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities. Contribute to the development and documentation of data standards and best practices. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Proactively identify and address potential data challenges and risks. Project Management Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Utilize project management tools like Jira to track progress, manage dependencies, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Required Skill Sets: Technical Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related field. 3+ years' experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, or a similar role Strong proficiency with data querying and data modeling using SQL and data warehousing concepts Strong proficiency with dbt for data modeling, transformation, and documentation Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Proficiency in modern data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Looker Experience with data quality and validation tools (i.e., Monte Carlo, etc.) Experience working in an Agile development environment and management tools (i.e., Jira) Confidence in dealing with technical and non-technical stakeholders Other Key Attributes / Characteristics: Superior communication skills both oral and written Strong analytics and critical thinking ability Strong attention to detail, you cross all the t’s and dot all the i's Strong ability to effectively gather information from multiple source
