Data Management Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst

In this role, you will:

• Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
• Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
• Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
• Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions
• Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates
• Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis
• Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements
• Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources
• Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
• Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in BSA-AML regulatory requirements and industry practices
• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization and reporting
• Proficient in data analysis and tools Tableau and Power BI
• Experience in Data Quality Assurance and data governance.
• Technical skills in python, SQL and other data analysis tools will be a plus bit not mandatory
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and program management skills

Job Expectations:

• Financial Crimes Expertise: Hands-on experience in BSA-AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery/Corruption, or equivalent through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• Data & Analytics Background: Minimum 2+ years in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management.
• Coordinate and monitor data defects, including weekly tracking of open defects.
• Support defect intake and submission tollgate activities.
• Identify off-track defects and escalate to Program Oversight Management.
• Perform monthly review of flagged issues to determine defect necessity.
• Provide recommendations to Program Oversight Management.
• Alteryx Expertise: Prior experience with Alteryx Designer for writing data quality rules and performing data profiling.
• Document key data sources and elements.
• Identify data controls for in-scope processes supporting broader program elements.
• Develop metric-based reporting for all Program areas.
• Publish monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management.
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and mapping for issue remediation and root cause analysis.
• Design and monitor data governance, data quality, and metadata policies, standards, and processes.
• Execute data quality audits and benchmark data quality metrics.
• Perform profiling and design data quality rules for Completeness, Validity, Accuracy, and Timeliness.
• Work with business and technology teams to document and maintain metadata for systems, processes, and data elements.
• Consult with stakeholders to assess and improve current data quality state.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement initiatives to assess and enhance the quality of new data sources.
