Data Entry Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter accurate data into computers, spreadsheets, or company databases.
  • Review data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and make necessary corrections.
  • Maintain, update, and manage records on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and sort documents before data entry.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Generate reports and retrieve required information when requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure security of sensitive data.
  • Perform regular data backups to prevent data loss.
  • Communicate with supervisors or team members to clarify or resolve data-related issues.
  • Follow company guidelines and ensure high standards of data accuracy and quality.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with data entry tools/software.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
