Job Title: Data Engineer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and optimize scalable data systems and pipelines
  • Design APIs for data integration
  • Lead a small development team, conduct code reviews, mentor juniors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to architecture and system design

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8+ years in Linux, Bash, Python, SQL
  • 4+ years in Spark, Hadoop ecosystem
  • 4+ years with AWS (EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift)
  • Team leadership experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, Hive, data cataloging tools
  • Knowledge of GCP, scalable pipelines, data partitioning/clustering
  • BS/MS/PhD in CS or equivalent experience
