Job Description

Role Overview:

Snowflake Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement
data pipelines
and ETL processes using
Snowflake
and
Python
.
Develop and optimize
Snowflake schemas
, tables, and views for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Integrate data from multiple sources (structured and semi-structured) into Snowflake.
Implement
data transformation logic
using Python and SQL for analytics and reporting needs.
Ensure
data quality, security, and compliance
across all data workflows.
Collaborate with
data analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders
to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Snowflake and optimize queries for cost efficiency.
Automate workflows and implement
CI/CD for data pipelines
.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years
of experience in
data engineering
with strong focus on Snowflake and Python.
Proficiency in
Snowflake features
: Virtual Warehouses, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Cloning, and Query Optimization.
Strong
Python programming skills
for data processing and automation.
Expertise in
SQL
and performance tuning for large datasets.
Experience with
ETL tools
(e.g., Airflow, dbt, Informatica) and
data integration frameworks
.
Familiarity with
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services.
Knowledge of
data governance, security, and compliance best practices
.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with
Snowflake Data Sharing
,
Snowpipe
, and
external tables
.
Exposure to
data modeling
and
data warehousing concepts
.
Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines
and
DevOps practices
for data engineering.

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
