Job Summary

As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and databases from scratch. You’ll work with APIs, spreadsheets, and other formats to extract, clean, store, and transform data to ensure accuracy and usability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop databases based on project needs
• Build and manage ETL pipelines using Python and SQL
• Extract data from diverse sources (APIs, Excel, CSV, etc.)
• Clean and validate raw data for high data quality
• Monitor, optimize, and secure database performance
• Collaborate with teams to solve data challenges
• Troubleshoot and improve data systems
• Document workflows and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Data Science, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Strong Python programming skills
• Proficient in SQL and database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data integration
• Familiarity with API data extraction and structured data formats
• Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset
• Good communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
• Familiarity with Docker, Git
• Nice to Have: Understanding of financial systems or accounting data
