Job Title: Senior Data Engineer AWS

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for processing structured and unstructured data.
  
• Build and optimize scalable data architectures on AWS using services like

  S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Step Functions, DynamoDB

  .
• Understand business and stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  
• Develop scalable data solutions to support

  analytics, reporting, and BI initiatives

  .
• Create automation scripts for

  data ingestion, data validation, and monitoring

  .
• Ensure strong

  data governance, security, and compliance

  with industry standards.
• Optimize data workflows for

  cost, performance, and reliability

  in AWS environments.
• Collaborate closely with

  data scientists, analysts, and software engineering teams

  .
• Troubleshoot production data issues and perform root cause analysis.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience

  in Data Engineering or a related role.
• Strong experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines using

  Python, SQL, or Spark

  .
• Hands-on cloud experience with key AWS services:

  S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, IAM, EC2, Kinesis, CloudWatch

  .
• Expertise in

  data warehousing, data modeling, schema design (Kimball / Inmon)

  .
• Proficiency in

  Python

  and

  advanced SQL

  for complex data transformations.
• Experience with

  Big Data technologies (Spark/Hadoop)

  added advantage.
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and

  IaC tools (Terraform / CloudFormation)

  .
• Knowledge of

  API integrations & event-driven data processing

  .
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (e.g.,

  AWS Data Analytics – Specialty / Solutions Architect

  )
• Experience working with

  BI Tools

  – Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI
• Exposure to

  machine learning workflows

• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum environments
