Data Engineer

Role Overview: You will be working on complex challenges, supporting, delivering, and implementing Spendscape solutions in collaboration with strong delivery teams and clients. Your tasks will involve project scoping, data identification, extraction, processing, engineering, enrichment, cleansing, categorization, automatization of tasks, debugging of data processing, and merging various data tables and sources using tools like Snaplogic, SQL, Python, and Snowflake. Your role will also include continuous development and improvement of proprietary data extractor and ETL tools, gathering client input, identifying needs, and creating scalable solutions in collaboration with Software Development and Data Science teams. Key Responsibilities: - Support, deliver, and implement Spendscape solutions - Conduct project scoping, data identification, extraction, processing, engineering, enrichment, cleansing, and categorization - Automate recurring tasks and debug data processing - Merge internal and external data tables and sources using ETL tools and scripts - Develop and enhance proprietary data extractor and ETL tools - Collaborate with clients, consulting teams, and client success managers to understand requirements and implement database for analytics - Troubleshoot client inquiries, issues, and implement sustainable solutions - Drive lasting impact and build long-term capabilities with clients Qualifications Required: - Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information systems or related field - 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in data engineering with an analytics firm - Strong coding knowledge in SQL or T-SQL - Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts - Experience in building operational ETL data pipelines and data models - Strong drive for automatization, optimization, and data processing diagnostics - Problem-solving capabilities and ability to recommend solutions - Proficiency in Microsoft SQL (T-SQL), Python, Git, and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake - Experience with tools like Snaplogic, Talend, Alteryx is a plus - Experience in procurement and/or business intelligence is a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English,
