Data Engineer (Junior)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Data Engineer (scala/spark). The Junior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing data processing systems, implementing data infrastructure, and performing data modeling and ETL (Extract Transform Load). The Junior Data Engineer will also be responsible for data warehousing and data analytics, and collaborating with the data science team to provide data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala/Spark
• Proficiency in SQL and Databases
• Familiarity in data engineering, including data modeling and ETL (Extract Transform Load) concepts
• Familiarity with data warehousing and data analytics
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Cloudera is a big plus
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a big plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
