Job Description

As a Data Platform Engineer, your role involves developing and enhancing data-processing, orchestration, monitoring, and more using popular open-source software, AWS, and GitLab automation. You will collaborate with product and technology teams to design and validate the capabilities of the data platform. Your responsibilities also include identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements to automate manual processes and enhance usability and scalability. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support and usage guidance for platform services users. - Drive the creation and refinement of metrics, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms for visibility into production services. - Build and optimize data pipelines in a distributed environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Utilize advanced working knowledge in SQL, Python, and PySpark, focusing on PySpark queries. - Experience with tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/CodeBuild, Code Pipeline, and platform monitoring and alerts tools. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines in a distributed environment. - Proficiency in a Linux environment. - Advanced working knowledge in SQL, Python, and PySpark. - Experience with tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/CodeBuild, Code Pipeline. - Knowledge of Palantir would be beneficial.,
