Data Engineer

As a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric, ERP system integration, and Power BI, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data pipelines, integrating data from ERP systems, and designing interactive Power BI dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Data Pipeline Development:** Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to collect, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data. - **ERP Data Integration:** Integrate data from various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365) to ensure accurate, consistent data across platforms. - **Power BI Reporting:** Develop and optimize Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs and business goals. - **ETL Design & Optimization:** Design and implement ETL processes to cleanse and transform raw data into actionable insights. - **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Collaborate with business analysts, IT teams, and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions. - **Data Governance:** Implement data governance and security policies to ensure the integrity and privacy of the data. - **Performance Tuning:** Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability. - **Documentation & Maintenance:** Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring high-quality, real-time reporting. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role. - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Dataflows, or other Microsoft cloud-based data services. - Strong working knowledge of ERP data structures and integration best practices (SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). - Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and custom visualizations. - Solid background in SQL, data modeling, and ETL development. - Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Dataverse, or similar tools is a plus. - Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards (GDPR, SOC2, etc.). - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
