Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Database & Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), data lakes, and streaming platforms, ensuring efficient data flow and high availability across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache NiFi and Spark for batch and streaming data processing.
Manage AWS RDS instances for Oracle and PostgreSQL, including configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Implement and optimize data lakes on AWS S3 using Apache Iceberg for structured and semi-structured data.
Build and manage real-time data streaming solutions with AWS Kinesis.
Configure and operate Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) for data replication and synchronization.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data platforms.
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise:

AWS Services: RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), S3, Kinesis.
Data Lake & Table Formats: Apache Iceberg.
Data Integration & Streaming: Apache NiFi, Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
Big Data Processing: Apache Spark.
Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
Experience in ETL design, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in data engineering and database management.
Hands-on experience with AWS-based data solutions.

Nice-to-Have:

Familiarity with AWS Glue, Athena, or similar query engines.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
