Data Developer

The Data Developer leverages big data to create intelligent data products that enable quality decision-making across the organization. You will work as a core member of the Data & AI team to ensure the success of the team and the company. The team is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of clients proprietary cloud-native Data & AI platform. Your key accountabilities will include developing and implementing intelligent data products such as visualisations, models, and insights to provide data-driven recommendations for various departments within the organisation. You will also incorporate self-service analytics in data products to empower end users and enable them access and analyse data independently. Additionally, you will consult with stakeholders to identify opportunities to use big data and advanced analytics to drive value for the organisation. Collaboration is key in this role as you will work with data engineers, IT, and vendors to simplify data accessibility, collection, and curation by developing and implementing data and system architectures. It is essential to document work and new procedures to ensure that others can interpret and replicate the work. You will support data cleansing and transformation to ensure data is correct, reliable, and stored effectively. Building and managing permission for shared datasets, troubleshooting issues, and resolving data discrepancies between source data and target dashboard are also part of your responsibilities. You are expected to deliver consistent, accurate, and high-quality work while communicating findings and insights in a clear and compelling way. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI, with a strong technical understanding. Experience with Power Apps is a plus. Strong technical skills in data and database management, with proficiency in data wrangling, analytics, and transformation using Python, SQL, and Power Query are required. Proficiency in visual storytelling through data visualisation is also essential. A CFA Level 1-3 certification or a good understanding of asset management would be an advantage, although not mandatory. In terms of general candidate attributes, you should be curious, analytical, and able to think critically to solve problems. Being detail-oriented and comfortable dealing with complex structured and unstructured datasets is crucial for success in this role. You should be customer-focused and proactive in engaging with stakeholders to deliver value. Clear and effective communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas and manage stakeholder expectations, are necessary. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a team are also important attributes for this role.,
