Ready to tackle challenging problems at massive scale with talented, passionate people This is your opportunity.Key job responsibilitiesThe Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer ensures all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates within contracted parameters while driving innovation to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs. This role encompasses risk management, infrastructure maintenance, vendor management, performance reporting, and root cause analysis.. Serving as technical subject matter expert for hands-on troubleshooting of critical infrastructure including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, and building automation systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience- 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience- Experience in vendor management
- Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
- Experience in construction or project management- Knowledge of electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but are not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems or SCADA systems- Knowledge of mechanical systems in critical Data Center operations including but not limited to CRAC/CRAHs/AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, storage tanks, chemical systems, heat exchangers, piping systems, pumps, valves, duct systems, fans, or dampersOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
