Job Description

As a member of the Development family at DTCC, you will play a crucial role in creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. Your work will involve various activities such as research, new development, prototyping, modification, and maintenance of software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. You will need in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages to excel in this role. The quant engineer position will require you to drive the development and implementation of quantitative models and algorithms critical for informed decision-making and risk management. Your contributions will be instrumental in building efficiency, reliability, and security of financial systems by enabling rapid adaptation to evolving market conditions and new data insights. You will be tasked with proposing and recommending solutions to solve complex business problems effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Extracting, cleaning, and transforming financial data from various sources - Developing data pipelines for efficient data acquisition and processing - Performing statistical analysis and machine learning to extract insights from data - Developing and implementing quantitative models and algorithms using programming languages like Python - Translating theoretical models from quantitative researchers into practical, executable code - Building and maintaining the infrastructure to support model development, including APIs and data pipelines - Conducting thorough back testing and validation of models to ensure accuracy and reliability - Optimizing model performance for speed, efficiency, and adaptability to changing market conditions and new data insights - Working closely with quantitative analysts and other IT teams to understand requirements and integrate models into IT systems - Effectively communicating technical information and model performance results to various stakeholders **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of related experience - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience - Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python and R In order to thrive in this role, you will need the following talents: - Data analytical skills to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that can inform model development and decision-making - Understanding of capital markets, instruments, and financial risk - Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and mathematical finance - Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and communicate findings and model behavior to both technical and non-technical stakeholders If you are ready to make a meaningful impact in the financial markets and contribute to the innovative projects at DTCC, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic and supportive team.,
