Job Description

Job Title: Data Analyst

Desired experience: 2-5 Years

Brief Job Description:

We are looking for a Process Analyst to join our Cengage Group Data Strategy team, to help deliver data-driven insights across a variety of business functions such as sales operations, GTM Strategy, Product Development, Digital Production, Inventory, Supply Chain, Finance etc. The Process Analyst will be a critical contributor to the team, focusing on driving reporting and maintaining core processes and reporting that the Data Strategy team has developed. They will also be involved in operational planning of process automation efforts, improving data quality, engaging cross-functional teams to create/improve data visibility and analysis, deriving business outcomes from data, and providing analytic support across Operations.

What you ll do here:

Form a deep understanding of Cengage Learning s processes, systems/tools, personnel, and strategic direction
Create and maintain dynamic models and visuals
Assist in consolidating, standardizing, and automating data workflows
Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineers to define and provide high quality, synthesized outputs
Capture and communicate findings within broader project structure; maintain healthy project management, coding, and workflow practices

Skills You Will Need Here:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Data Analytics (or equivalent experience) with high proven achievement
Proficient understanding of data analysis and data mining tools (for example SQL, Python, PowerBI, Looker) and techniques working with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to deliver synthesized reports.
Note: While there is not an expectation of proficiency in coding, we expect candidates to have the ability to run code-based processes with comfort.
Collaborative problem-solving and working style to drive change through influence and robust communication.
Able to self-manage progress against milestones and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and personal urgency

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
