Job description Role & responsibilities Axle/Casting - Sheet Metal Design Modules: Solid Modelling, Tubing/Mechanical routing, Sheet Metal, Drafting, CAE (Structural) PLM tool: Experience in TeamCenter or any PLM tool is desired. pls share updated CV to pradeep_kranth@onwardgroup.com 2 to 6 yrs Experience Band. Automotive Experience: minimum 2 - 6 Years in OEM or Tier 1 Hands on with UG NX tool. Expected - Expert proficiency Design & Development of Axle components (Castings, forgings, Shafts, Sheet metal) Design of complex housings (aluminum alloy, cast iron or plastic), plastic/steel tubes, support brackets etc. Knowledge of CAE simulation and validation will be an added advantage. Good understanding of Engineering drawing. Independent handling of Design responsibility of any automotive component. Experience on casting, sheet metal or forging components Powertrain domain experience will be added advantage Good GD&T Knowledge & drawing reading ability is desired. Knowledge on Stack up analysis will be added advantage. Good communication skills required. Knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Capable of understanding Lifecycle management of automotive parts (CVDS), giving interim and long-term solutions related to axle components Soft Skills Self-motivated, ready to follow instructions Ability to learn via listening & via following instructions. Role & responsibilities Ensure Safety, Hygiene, Quality, 5S and 4M audits are conducted on the shop floor as per decided frequency. Ensure daily Production & Quality targets are achieved on the shop floor with SAFETY. Ensure work is carried out as per GSOS & OPS also do timely Review of OPS & GSOS. Give appropriate training to all new FTCs/employees as per OPS, so that they can be deputed on workstation accordingly. Collect the data of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Operation Rate, and other losses etc. and do the analysis for improvement. Ensure achievement of Suggestions, Kaizens, HHT targets as per guidelines. Conduct daily shift start and end meeting, One-to-One communication to know the concerns of Blue Collars. Act to close all concerns raised by them. Preparation of shift mapping to ensure uninterrupted production targets achievement. Ensure Stop Call Wait is followed on shop floor. Ensure PMS Goals are traced, and extra efforts are taken to achieve these Goals. All the communications received from management are to be communicated down the line. Ensure your flexibility to work in any area as per requirement by management. Attend all the training which is planned for him and ensure his teammate also attends the training as per plan. Participate in internal/External Audits, Projects as per guidelines. Participate in 5S activities on shop floor and ensure the excellent level of 5S on lines. Ensure Machine up time through minor stoppage reduction / Machine health check review. Knowledge of ISO Systems like ISO9001/14001 Knowledge of 4M and 5Why analysis to resolve quality issues of line. Preferred candidate profile 1. Good Product and Process Knowledge of Crankshaft 2. Hands on experience of Crankshaft machining (Forged Steel machining) 3. Hands on experience of CNC Turning machines, VMC, HMC & SPM. 4. Good knowledge of Fanuc/Siemens control. 5. Good CNC Programming knowledge. 6. Hands on experience of Grinding machines, Gantry and Robots. 7. Good knowledge of Cutting tools.
