Cybersecurity Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our team and strengthen our security posture. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, data encryption technologies, and the deployment and monitoring of honeypots. You will play a critical role in identifying, mitigating, and preventing security threats across our systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough penetration testing on internal and external systems to uncover security weaknesses.

* Perform regular vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools and techniques.

* Develop, implement, and manage data encryption strategies to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data.

* Design, deploy, and monitor honeypots to detect unauthorized access attempts and gather intelligence on attacker behavior.

* Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to address identified security vulnerabilities.

* Prepare detailed reports and documentation on findings, including risk levels and recommended remediation actions.

* Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

* Assist in incident response efforts and forensic analysis when needed.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

* 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles, specifically in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

* Strong knowledge of encryption protocols and secure data transmission practices (e.g., AES, RSA, TLS).

* Experience setting up and managing honeypots (e.g., Cowrie, Dionaea, Honeyd).

* Familiarity with tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Wireshark, and similar.

* Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and threat modeling.

* Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CISSP, GPEN) are highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

* Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and custom tools.

* Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

* Understanding of regulatory standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPPA, or NIST.
