As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organizations information systems and data against cyber threats and attacks. You will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, implement security policies, and work with various teams to ensure the overall security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Threat Monitoring and Incident Response:

- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents.

- Investigate and analyze security breaches to determine their cause and impact.

- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.

2. Security Analysis and Risk Assessment:

- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

- Evaluate security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

- Analyze and report on security-related metrics and trends.

3. Security Policy and Compliance:

- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

- Conduct security awareness training for employees.

4. System and Network Security:

- Configure and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.

- Perform regular security updates and patch management.

- Implement and manage access controls and identity management systems.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with IT teams to integrate security into system and network designs.

- Collaborate with external vendors and stakeholders on security-related matters.

- Communicate security issues and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical staff.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS).

- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and security best practices.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.

Experience: 1 year of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to work on-call or outside regular business hours if needed.
