Cutlist Engineer

Role Overview: As a Cutlist Engineer, your role is crucial in preparing detailed cutlists from furniture or interior design drawings to ensure accurate material optimization and production readiness. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, preparing cutting lists for various materials, optimizing material usage, inputting data into software, maintaining a database of cutlists, identifying discrepancies, and supporting quality control. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and production plans to generate accurate cutlists. - Prepare cutting lists for various materials such as plywood, MDF, laminate, acrylic, edge bands, etc. - Work closely with design and production teams to clarify dimensions, materials, and special instructions. - Optimize material usage to minimize wastage and reduce costs. - Input data into software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Top Solid, or other ERP systems) for generating cutlists. - Maintain an organized database of cutlists and associated drawings for each project. - Identify discrepancies and proactively coordinate corrections before production. - Ensure timely delivery of cutlists to meet production schedules. - Support quality control by verifying finished products against Cutlist specifications. Qualifications Required: - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in Cutlist preparation or a similar role in furniture/interior fit-out companies. - Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and cutting optimization software. - Strong understanding of panel-based furniture systems and modular construction. - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Good communication and teamwork abilities.,
