Culinary Associate - Conti & Pantry

**Role Overview:** As a Food Preparation Associate at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, your primary responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will be required to wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and cook food according to recipes and quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing cold foods, operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and ensuring food is cooked sufficiently. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food - Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables - Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients - Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards - Prepare cold foods - Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers - Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently - Monitor food quality while preparing food - Set-up and break down work station - Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles - Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment - Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food **Qualifications Required:** - Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience **Additional Information:** At Courtyard by Marriott, the company is dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
